Volunteering at Central Park - Saturday Green Team

My hubby has always been an enthusiastic volunteer and I love it about him :) In London he used to get involved in all sorts, from helping to clean rivers to assisting at sports events. You name it and he will be there! This move to New York has made volunteering much more important to our agenda as it is a great way to meet new people and making friends as well.
My first volunteer attempt here was at the High Line. Unfortunately I missed the deadline and could not take part in the Spring Cutback this year.
The second attempt is volunteering at Central Park Conservancy with the Saturday Green Team. We can do anything from raking, mulching, pulling weeds or planting bulbs. We were supposed to have started it last Saturday but unfortunately the weather was awful and it was cancelled :(
Nevertheless, we have already signed up for this Saturday coming up. Very excited and looking forward to it.
Fingers crossed it will go well this time! I will be sharing some photos with you later on ;-)
If you are interested in volunteering at one of New York's postcards, you can register on ther website. There are loads of different things you could do :)
